Following on from the previous post on
visualising GBIF data, I've added some more interactivity. If you click on a pane in the treemap widget you get a list of the corresponding taxa, together with an image from
EOL (if one exists). It's a fun way to quickly see what sort of species are present (in this case in the Solomon Islands). You can try it at

Pro tip
It's not obvious from the site, but to go back up the taxonomic hierarchy in the treemap,
right click (ctrl-click on a Mac) on the grey bar corresponding to the higher taxon.
