Quick note to say how much fun it is to use
Parallels Desktop. It's a great advantage to have Windows XP and Fedora Core 7 running on my Mac. As much as I dislike Internet Explorer, it caught some bugs in my code. It's always useful to try different environments when debugging code, either stand alone or for the Web.
I plan on getting Parallels in the next few days so I can run PRIMER on my Mac. Does it come with Win XP or do you have to buy that separately in addition to Parallels 3.0?
ReplyDeleteYou need to buy a copy of Windows separately.
ReplyDeleteOK, I got parallels last up and running and already analyzed data in PRIMER on my Macbook! It is pretty cool stuff. Now I have to download all that yummy free tree-building software previously only for windows.
ReplyDeleteI was able to install an old copy of winXP from an old PC whose motherboard fried (that day I went Mac and never went back).
